Everything changes, everything evolves. Or it sometimes adapts. In Haute Couture fashion shows we were used to hairstyles that looked like sculptures, works of art that defied the force of gravity. This time the Autumn/Winter 2017/2018 show that just took place in Paris adapted itself to an always more solid trend: “normocore” or as it has been called lately, “new normal”.
“Volumes of hair have been reduced and trendy looks have taken over always more, lately, even if it is strange for the Autumn/Winter fashion: super sleek – comments Mauro Galzignato, Director of the hair fashion collections on The Italian Touch -. It reminds us of the wet effect a lot, but only because the ostentation of shininess could make it look like the wet look. In reality it is only a finish effect… Margiela’s flashes of colour are very interesting and tell us that “deep blue” is the main colour for Valentino’s Autumn/Winter collection, free from the vigour of the “bob” with a slightly tousled albeit elegantly evaluated by a perfect centre parting. Lastly, Fendi presents a refined femininity, with the aid of a very deep side parting, in coherence with what we spoke about previously that super sleek is the new normal”.
