#6 - Dogs
Nov/Dec 2006
KNOW has gone to the dogs. Yup, Issue 6 is all about dogs, from their wild wolf ancestors to the pet dogs we know and love. You'll meet some dogs with very important jobs and also some that are world record holders. (Aren't you dying to know which breeds drool the most?) There are also some explosions in this issue – from the experiment "Exploding Colour" to the science behind the snap, crackle, and pop of party crackers. (You know, the ones with the silly paper hats inside?) As usual, KNOW is packed with lots of articles and activities for you to enjoy with your friends and family.
And, if after reading all of KNOW you're feeling a bit tired, you can read up on the science of yawning just...before...you...fall...asleeeeeep...zzzzzzzz...
