#11 - Measurement
Sept/Oct 2007

Where in the world would we be without measurement? How could we bake cakes, build houses, or know who gets into the Guiness Book of World Records? Even if we don't realize it, we use things that have been measured everyday. In this issue of KNOW, we're taking a closer look at the things we measure, how we do it, and the tools we use. How will you measure up?

In this issue you'll also meet a boy who "sees" using sound and caterpillars that click. You can also take an imaginary camel ride, and -- just in time for school -- learn the sticky science behind glue. And if you've taken just a few too many bumps this summer, at least you can learn the science behind bruises! Of course there are lots of games, activities, and experiments too.

How do we measure this issue of KNOW? It's overflowing with fun!
