A giant squid’s eye is larger than a dinner plate. A dwarf goby fish is the size of a grain of rice. Sure, you can read these facts, but it’s even cooler to see something life size. Using torn-and-cut paper collages, Steve Jenkins shows us the actual size of 18 animals (or parts of those animals). If you want to imagine what it would be like to be snout-to-snout with a crocodile or hand-to-hand with a gorilla, check this book out.

This book shows how big animals are in real life. It’s fun to read with a friend or a grown-up. The book is really cool and the pictures are beautiful. I really liked the alligator, tiger, and shark pictures because they showed you how big their heads, bodies, and mouths were. I would give this book a score of 10 out of 10. You should borrow this book for a day!
