Dinosaurs weren’t the only animals roaming ancient Earth. There were huge bugs, too! In this book, you can read about a 390-million-year-old cockroach and a two-metre-long millipede. Paleo Bugs examines ancient arthropods (animals with jointed legs) — the relatives of today’s ants, crabs, spiders, and centipedes. The author’s colourful, vibrant illustrations bring the book, and these monster arthropods, to life.

I thought this book looked good. The cover was bright and the book contained lots of action pictures of different ancient creepy crawlies. I enjoyed the size chart comparing humans to ancient creatures. I learned a lot, including that the basic shape of a cockroach hasn’t changed much in 300 million years. The book was awesome. I’d give it 9.5 out of 10.
