This is the zany story of a curious and creative man and his quest to build a flying machine. Using images from Captain Arsenio’s diary, we learn of his motocanary, the hamstertronic, and four other contraptions he built with access only to useless materials. If you dream of flying or just love a silly story (and wacky pictures), strap on your wings and take a test flight with Captain Arsenio.

Captain Arsenio’s inventions were neat. My favourite was when he tied all the birds to the ropes and then to him! Then he got stuck in a tree. I learned that Captain Arsenio kept trying experiments even if they didn’t work. You need to have good dreams! I liked reading this book, but there were some hard words. I think Captain Arsenio looked a little weird. I liked the pictures of him crashing. If a friend asked me what this book was about, I’d say that it’s about cool inventions.
