Small Wonders is part of the Canadian Geographic Kids series. In this book you’ll meet 14 baby animals, including beaver kits, goose goslings, and polar bear cubs. You’ll journey across Canada, visiting the natural homes of these animals, from the prairie grasslands to the far north. Along the way you’ll learn how animal families play, feed, learn, and communicate with one another. The large format, lovely watercolour paintings, and simple text give a wonderful introduction to the natural history and geography of Canada.

I liked this book. It told me all kinds of interesting things about baby animals that I didn’t know before. I thought it was interesting and some of the animals were cute, like the ducklings and polar bear. Seeing the nice pictures made it easy to read about them. I learned how loons make a funny crying noise to talk to each other. Cool! The book was easy for me to read. I enjoyed it so much, I read it a few times. I would give this book a score of 10 out of 10. In a word, it was AWESOME!
