Who Likes the Snow?
and Who Likes the Wind?

These clever books for young readers and budding scientists look at the science of snow and wind. Each page has one simple sentence that new readers can read on their own or with the help of an adult. Text hidden under a large flap discusses the subject matter in more detail. For example, in Who Likes the Snow?, the text says: “I like the snow because it covers the ground like a white blanket. I wonder why snow is white.” Under the flap, this question is addressed. Rain and sunshine are covered in the two other books in this series.

I had a lot of fun reading these books. I learned a lot of things about snow and wind, like how snowflakes trap sound and why the wind whistles. Some of the pages were difficult to read, and I didn’t understand all of the explanations. I would change some of the flap pages to make them easier, but I still thought these pages were cool. The drawings were really nice, especially the drawings with animals and the night drawing in Who Likes the Snow?
