Join 11-year-old Dedia and his father, aunt, and cousin as they sail down the Nile River. As you travel along this great river, you deliver cargo and, through wonderfully detailed pictures, get a glimpse of Egyptian life over 3200 years ago. With Dedia you’ll visit a bustling harbour, peek into a typical village, see how a mummy is prepared, and visit pyramids, temples, and more before ending the journey at the palace of Ramses.

This book was very interesting because it shows what they did in ancient Egypt. It is a cross-section book. This means you can look inside all kinds of things, which was very cool. I liked the page on Saqqara’s Pyramid best. I never knew it took so many people and so many parts to build a pyramid. Sometimes the pages were complicated. If you looked at the page from top to bottom and tried to find what fit where, it was hard to find things. I had fun reading this book because I like to look at how stuff was built.
