In the time it takes you to brush your teeth (about a minute, right?) you blink about 20 times. That’s just one of the cool facts you can learn about your body in What Makes Me Me? The book explains how your body works, from head-to-toe, liver-to-lips. Short blocks of text, quizzes, and clever use of illustrations make this a good place to look if you are curious about how the human body works.

I’m very interested in learning about my body, but when I first looked through the book I thought there was going to be too much detail and it would be hard to read. This wasn’t true! The sections were very easy to read and made a lot of sense. I really liked the frequently asked questions, great pictures, and quizzes you could take. I learned lots of things, like colour blindness is more common in men than in women. I would change the cover though. It looked kind of boring. If I had one word to describe this book it would be “awesome”! I’d give it a score of 8 out of 10.
