Katherine Mathilda, aka “Tilda”, Swinton, 56 years old, British actress. Daughter of a Scots Guard general, a degree in Political Sciences at Cambridge. Oscar as actress in a supporting role in the film Michael Clayton in 2007, Coppa Volpi as best actress at the Venice Film Festival for the film Caravaggio in 1986. Rebel, nonconformist, she sympathised for the Communist Party in the 80s and recited in the Royal Shakespeare Company before dedicating herself to cinema. She made a huge amount of films and is also a testimonial for Pomellato and Coco Chanel. She has two twins, Honor and Xavier born in 1997 from her relationship with the Scottish painter John Byrne (20 years her elder). She lives in Nairn, near Inverness, in Scotland, with her children and the German artist Sandro Kopp (18 younger).
She presented her latest film produced by Netflix at Cannes 2017, Okja, a surreal story about the friendship between a girl and a giant genetically modified pig destined to the slaughter house. She displayed a very interesting short haircut: “Some people are in continuous evolution to be up to date with the latest hair fashion – explains Mauro Galzignato, Art director of the hair Fashion Collections of The Italian Touch and Hairdresser of the Year 2016 -, and other people that have found their distinctive signature cut and has made it a style of their own. Like Tilda Swinton is still faithful to her blond undercut. Even if many influencers have declared it as dead, it transmits a determined character and a gender neutral allure. It highlights the somatic traits making her very interesting, above all when she decides to play with the styling, from a more rigorous straight one to a ruffled “just out of bed” effect”.
