Kristina Salinovic: androgynous, punk, but at the same time feminine thanks to the soft fringe

Kristina Salinovic’s short cut is the editor’s cut of choice for November 2016. The Croatian model, who has graced the covers of the most prestigious international magazines (including Vogue France and Italy, photographed by the renowned photographer Steven Meisel, and cover girl for The Italian Touch #19), was seen on The Italian Touch runway during the show organised by You in Torino, and Mauro Galzignato has chosen her as his muse for the Hairdresser of the Year award ceremony, where he will receive the most important award of the event.

― Starting from a gender-neutral look

“Androgynous but at the same time feminine thanks to the soft fringe, this cut has a touch of the strong punk influence that we have seen this year,” explains Mauro, “This can be seen especially at the top which has been textured in a way that makes the look very flexible. It is possible to play around with styling, even going so far as to create forms that resemble punk crests”. But there’s much more beyond fashion: being Kristina still a first choice for the major fashion brands, she is also very busy with many collateral projects. She owns the Fen Bar, a trendy salon in Zagreb, and she is one of the partners of Nero Ink, a Croatian tattoo studio. A perfect match with our stylistic team.
